2010 Israel 1 oz Gold Tower of David
24-Karat Gold Bullion Coins
Great collector excitement always accompanies the first of any coin and the extremely limited mintage of 3,600 gold coins worldwide makes this coin destined to sell-out.
Israel proudly puts forth its first gold bullion coin onto the world stage! This one-ounce coin, struck in .9999 fine gold is crafted by the Holy Land Mint.
The Israel Coins and Medals Corp. said in a statement when the coin was first released, "In the morning, the telephone lines at our order call center crashed because of high demand and interest for the special gold coin.”
The obverse depicts a roaring lion, which is symbolic of Jerusalem and the Kingdom of Judah.
The reverse is adorned with a likeness of the Tower of David. This ancient citadel was built during the 2nd century BC to help guard the old walled city.
The Tower of David coin will arrive in a wooden display case and a certificate of authenticity.
